'90 Saleen Mustang Notchback - Notchback ("Sedan")
The last car built by Saleen Autosport
It was specially built with a
few changes from the normal Saleen configuration.
I am the origional
owner and ordered the car in 1990.
The chassis # 90-235 is listed in the
Saleen book,
along with a partial list of the mods listed below.
I also
have letters from Steve hisself confirming the order.
Changes include:
Wing Delete (original wing and graphics shipped in separate box.
Original box is with the car, unopened)
3.55 final drive ratio.
Factory installed Autopower roll cage, SCCA legal.
Factory installed Saleen/FMS oil cooler in the lower valence scoop.
Installed with -10 lines and AN fittings.
Koni Sport Shocks installed instead of Monroe.
Pioneer Stereo Deleted. Standard Ford Premium Sound installed.
FMS stainless headers, factory installed.
Saleen "racing" caster/camber plates (supplied by Global West)
Saleen "racing" rear lower controll arms (Same as FMS/Global West)
Saleen "racing" front lower control arm bushings.
Saleen "racing" Tri-ladder sub system with integrated roll cage mount
plates.
Original Saleen "racing" radiator replaced with newer Ford Racing
aluminum radiator.
Saleen Factory Mod Plastia racing seat.
Engine lowered 1" on solid mounts.
FMS clutch
D&D blueprinted T5, 2.95 first gear.
Torsen T2R differential.
Cobra R Power Steering Cooler on Ford Factory mount,
located in the
driver side brake duct.
Ford Racin Performance Parts alternator.
Rear seat delete. I have the original rear seat, in Saleen cloth.
Battery mounted on rear seat pan.
Cross weighted with 170 lb driver installed.
One set street rims, 16x8 front and 16x8 rear with 255/50 tires.
One set race rims, 17x8.5 front and 17x9.5 rear.
Yokohama 032R tires,
255/40 front and 275/40 rear.
Carbon fiber stock form hood, with complete internal structure
and stock
factory latches, 13lb.
Edelbrock heads, Cobra roller rockers,
Cobra intake, Cobra MAF by ProM
working with stock EEC4,
Bassani stainless cat pipe and rear section.
Full California Smog Legal.
No oil consumption.
90,000 miles
Extremely clean.
There is even more, like a fresh, new factory steering rack in the box.
The car is not cut up or butchered in any way.

Lotus 7, Westfield 11, Seight,
Superformance, Xanthos roadster or
'01 Subaru WRX.
This is a wonderful car, but it is too big for my new garage
and doesn't
fit the new direction of my current car collection.
