 Only one owner 65,185 documented original miles Awesome time capsule of the disco era This 1978 Lincoln was bought new by H. W. Saunders on June 30, 1978 in Albemarle NC, and spent a pampered life here in the South. The 1978 Lincoln was a very distinctive and rich-looking car that year, especially in the triple blue "Collector Series" color scheme. This is a loaded car missing only the sunroof option, but with everything from all power options, to a big block 460 belting out enough torque to make even the muscle car minions question their cars capabilities, (with all due respect to my muscle car buyers). PAINT The paint is slick and deep, a show finish. The car appears to have possibly had a professional repaint in the original color at some point in its life but this does nothing but add to the value and appearance of this car. INTERIOR The interior is factory original with excellent blue leather and deep clean carpet. All of the interior chrome is virtually pit-free and shines like new. All the power options work as they should. The headliner is in very nice condition and is original, a rare find. Horn works great, and is loud! ACCESSORIES: Radio with antenna and rear speaker, AC Power Brakes Automatic heating system Six-Way power seat adjuster Power window regulators E-Z-Eye Glass Automatic headlamp beam control Almost new White sidewall tires 460 V8 motor BRIGHTWORK: The exterior chrome and stainless are in excellent condition There is some minimal wear for a car that is almost 40 years old GLASS: All glass is crack-free with no delaminating. The headlights are all original and all work! Rear taillight lenses are all crack free and exterior bulbs work. WHEELS & TIRES: Tires are in good condition. Wheels are the same. ENGINE/TRANSMISSION: 460 V8 runs very nicely as is, I have been driving this car on short trips around town and enjoy every minute of it. As excellent cruising car for weekend trips. Transmission shifts and works as it should BRAKES: Brakes work as they should TRUNK: Is original and is very nice especially for its age. UNDERCARRIAGE: Typical for a car that is almost 40 years old it is clean but has some wear and grime that comes with normal driving. There is NO rust-through on any of the floors, trunk, or frame.
