Every once in a long while you come across a classic that just blows your mind. This is that car. A 1970 Pontiac Judge Model 24237 GTO 2dr Sport Coupe completely restored. I mean frame off restored to be exact. This GM muscle is a WT-1 from GM of Canada and there were only 442 produced with the WT-1 distinction. Completely documented, including the original window sticker. Just to save you some research the WT-1 includes: Ram Air III (L74) V8 engine, ram air hood inlet- cable controlled (T42), 4-speed heavy duty floor shift with Hurst "T" bar, wide oval G70x14 blackwall tires, Rally II wheels (N98), black out grill, rear air foil, vinyl striping, specific identification decals and specific rear deck torque rods. Looking at the photo, you are no doubt as impressed as I am with the #48 Pepper Green paint. This is one shiny Judge. If you've ever seen an old GTO, you know how hard it is to make paint stay on these early urethane pieces. No issues here. All the chrome is gorgeous. Glass is very good all around and the overall appearance is stellar! There's nothing subtle about this L74 400 CID 4bbl Ram Air III V8 powering this ride. It lights off easily, idles nicely, and although the owner has driven it just enough to work out the bugs, there's little doubt that this is a true Judge. And like the exterior, the engine bay is highly detailed and beautifully finished as if you were seeing it for the first time in 1970. Backing up that big block is an original-spec Muncie close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. Out back, there's an original GU8 rear end with 3.90 gears and a Y96 Handling Package to really put the power down and still keep friendly street manners. This car also has solid floors and a nicely finished chassis that's all stock. The GTO's gorgeous parchment interior remains pretty much intact and as it was designed more than 40 years ago. It's all-new in there, from the seat covers to the headliner, and looks show ready. The 257 Sandalwood package is one of my favorites, elegant and upscale-looking; bright, but not overpowering. There's a Hurst T-handle shifter for the 4-speed sticking out of the original console, the original steering wheel is excellent, and the factory gauges are fully functional. The trunk is equally nice, with a carpeted mat and the original spare tire. Nice car? You betcha! Fast? You'd better believe it. I think cars like this display character that is rarely found. If you care about pedigree, the documentation is here. This car will draw a crowd, and I know everyone will like it. It's a beautifully restored GTO Judge. How can you do better than that?
