OUR CAR IS FINISHED IN MARINA BLUE WITH BLACK STANDARD INTERIOR. IT HAS BASIC EQUIPMENT INCLUDING SOFT RAY TINTED GLASS, AM/FM RADIO, FOUR-SPEED TRANSMISSION, POSITRACTION, POWER DISC BRAKES, N32 ('66) TEAKWOOD STEERING WHEEL, AND WHITEWALL RADIAL TIRES. THIS IS A MATCHING NUMBER CAR (MOTOR, TRIM /PAINT, TRANS., RADIATOR/HOLDING TANK AND BUILD) RECENTLY RE-RESTORED PAINT AND SUSPENSION. THE ENGINE STILL RETAINS THE ORIGINALSTICKERS AND MARKINGS. THIS CAR, IN THIS CONFIGURATION, MAKES A PERFECT DRIVER AND THE ULTIMATELY BALANCED "PERFORMANCE CAR" THAT YOU CAN STILL DRIVE ON STANDARD PUMP GASOLINE. ANOTHER SALES POINT IS THAT SOME EVEN SAY THE FASTBACK COUPE IS BETTER LOOKING THAN THE CONVERTIBLE. "AMERICA'S FAVORITE SPORTSCAR" IN A STUNNING VERSION OF THE FASTBACK COUPE. THERE ARE THOSE THAT ARGUE THAT THE 1967 IS THE BEST OF THE LAST BECAUSE IT WAS THE LAST OF THE "MID-YEAR VETTES" AND THE STYLING WAS 'CLEANED UP BY ADDING FIVE FUNCTIONAL FENDER LOUVERS TO THE LOWER FENDERS. THOUGH STANDARD EQUIPMENT INCLUDED RALLY WHEELS, ODOMETER, CLOCK, FULL CARPETING, WHEEL TRIM RINGS, TACH, FULL VINYL INTERIOR AND BUCKET SEATS IT WAS THE SMALL CHANGES THAT GOT ALL THE ATTENTION. THE PARKING BRAKE HANDLE WAS MOVED IN-BETWEEN THE SEATS, A BACK-UP LIGHT WAS ADDED OVER THE LICENSE PLATE, DESIGNERS REMOVED ALMOST ALL THE BADGES, IT GOT A DIFFERENT UPHOLSTERY PATTERN, NEW INTERIOR KNOBS, AND THE BASE ENGINE WAS NOW BOOSTED TO 300 HP (10:05:01 COMPRESSION). IT IS ALSO A LITTLE KNOWN FACT THAT BASE MODELS CARRIED A THREE-SPEED TRANSMISSION (THOUGH CONSIDERED RARE -ONLY 424 CARS BUILT THAT WAY. THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW TIMES WHERE RARITY DOES NOT EQUATE TO DESIRABILITY IN ANYONE'S BOOK.) THE 1967 CORVETTE IS KNOWN TO BE ONE OF THE GREAT IRONIES OF CHEVROLET HISTORY. IT WAS NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO EXIST AS IT WAS SET TO DEBUT AS A WHOLE NEW MODEL BUT, AFTER A HOST OF PRODUCTION PROBLEMS (THAT FOLLOWED THE 1968 INTO EXISTENCE) THE 1967 WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A CLEANED UP '66 MODEL MASSAGED, PERFECTED AND RE-INTRODUCED FOR THE 1967 MODEL YEAR.
