If you are looking to buy a Southern Car,
This Is The One.
It Started Out In Dallas, Texas and
Was Purchased by a Little ol' Lady from Pasadena
Who Was Visiting Her Relatives in Dallas
When her Older Model 1949 Ford Over heated and
the engine seized in Dallas
by a Nearby Chevrolet Dealership.
So She Went In and Bought a New Basically Plain Jane
1957 Chevy Belair Off the Car Lot
The Only Options for This Chevy Were
the fact It Was a Belair With a V8 Engine
with AUTOMATIC Transmission and
Tinted Glass Which Were All Options
At That Time.
This Car Did Not Come With a Radio, Heater or
The Color of This 1957 Chevy was
Tropical Turquoise and Ivory.
Since that time there were only a few owners
(maybe 4) and myself being one.
When I purchased it about 30 years ago
the only change the car had that I could see
was an Engine Change to a Later Vortec V8 and
Automatic With Column Shift.
The Seats Are The Originals and
Were Recovered In a Timely Black Roll and Pleat.
There Was a Radio Plate Over Where the Radio Goes
and I took it off to show the dash
has never been cut for any aftermarket radios
or tape decks.
There Are No Signs this car had after market gauges
As a matter of fact the original T-3 head light beams
are still on the car and they both work!
There are No Headers But
Only Stock Exhaust Manifolds
With a Stock Dual Exhaust System.
All Body Lines Are Right On and
The Turquoise Color Is Visible All Over This Car.
No Gaps Anywhere by Doors,
Hood or Deck Lid.
I had the car Painted a 1957 Chevy "Colonial Cream"
back in 1991 Cecause I got tired of the turquoise
at that time.
There are Some Rust Spots Showing Now.
One Being The Outer Rocker on the Driver Side and
a Couple Of Other Areas.
The Floor Feels Very Solid and
The Trunk Is Rock Solid.
The Stainless Is All Good and
Has Never Been Off The Car.
The Car Has Never Been Restored.
It Is Due for Some Repairs and a
Fresh Coat of Paint.
The Chrome on the Bumpers Is Showing Age.
The Headliner Looks Good.
Carpet Looks Good.
I Have Not Run or Driven This Car In
About 2 Years But There Shouldn't Be a
Problem Getting It Going As It Ran and Drove Well.
This Car Appears to have Never Been In Any Accidents.
It is Available Now and Priced Fairly
from what I have seen sell for big money cars
on the online auctions that need a lot of work.
I Think This car Needs Minimal Attention.
Fix It and Drive It.
