6 CylinderWith 3 Speed Manual Transmission
A First in Class award winner at the 2009 Meadowbrook Concours d Elegance,
this brilliant 1926 Stutz Model 695 Roadster is one of just two known examples
carrying unique bodywork by the Weyman-American Body Company of Indianapolis.
Built using aircraft construction techniques inspired by Charles Weyman's
European aviation background, the car is most notably distinguished by its
dramatic Red leather-covered aluminum body
(with matching steel fenders and engine cover)
and beautifully crafted Red crocodile-skin upholstery.
Other rare touches include Chicago Balloon front and rear bumpers,
dual Tripp driving lights and running board spotlight,
a very rare passenger mirror/spotlight and
the original rechromed running board-mounted fuel can.
This outstanding machine completed a tour of northern Europe in 1997
under the power of its original OHV 288/80 HP Stutz Speedway Six engine,
a fitting outing for a European-influenced American tourer
with the heart of an Indianapolis racer.
